Egypt crisis: Diplomats across world condemn violence

The UN Security Council held an emergency session on Thursday to discuss the events in Egypt. It urged all Egyptians to show "maximum restraint".

President Obama has condemned the violence, and cancelled planned joint military exercises with Egypt.

But some US politicians say America's response to the crisis has been weak.
