No timetable for Thai elections

The leaders of last week's military coup in Thailand say they will only return to democratic government when the political conflict which has shaken the country for the past eight years has eased.

They are giving no timetable for holding a general election, and are still maintaining strict controls on political and media activity.

Jonathan Head reports from Bangkok.
