ANC proposes South Africa media clampdown

Plans to restrict the activity of the media in South Africa have been criticised by the American ambassador Donald Gips.

The ruling African National Congress is proposing that journalists who publish information, which the state wants to keep secret, should be sent to jail.

Karen Allen reports from Johannesburg.
