Uganda's first Batwa pygmy university graduate

Alice Nyamihanda is one of approximately 2,000 remaining Batwa pygmies in Uganda - among the most marginalised people in Africa.

The 22-year-old is the first person ever to return to her impoverished native community with a university qualification.

She is graduating from Bugema University with a diploma in development studies.

Ms Nyamihanda spoke to the BBC's Vishva Samani about the challenges she faced and her experience of university.
