Rebels in Benghazi 'may head west against Gaddafi forces'

In Libya, Col Gaddafi's forces have failed to get the upper hand in the east of the country despite hours of fighting over the oil town of Brega.

Last night opponents of the regime were celebrating their successful defence of the region.
