S Africa opposition: Black leader would be 'milestone'

South Africa's main opposition party, the Democratic Alliance, will announce the results of its leadership election on Thursday.

The election is likely to yield the party's first black leader, a result which Democratic Alliance President Helen Zille said would "be a big milestone".

She told the BBC's Karen Allen, "because race is still so potent in South Africa... it will be like crossing the Rubicon."
