Egypt elections: Hamdeen Sabahi profile

The presidential elections which begin on 23 May are the first fully democratic polls in Egyptian history, and the first in which no-one has emerged as a clear front-runner.

Hamdeen Sabahi has done well on the campaign trail with his mix of nationalism and fierce opposition to the Mubarak regime, as well as a strong anti-Israel position.

Khaled Ezzelarab from BBC Arabic has followed the campaign.
