Egypt elections: Mohammed Mursi profile

The presidential elections which begin on 23 May are the first fully democratic polls in Egyptian history, and the first in which no-one has emerged as a clear front-runner.

Mohammed Mursi was the surprise candidate for the Muslim Brotherhood - he was the party's back-up candidate, until the original contender Khairat al-Shater was disqualified.

BBC's Arabic's Khaled Ezzelarab has been to meet him.
