Rise in number of Somali women working as shopping carriers
As more and more Somalis migrate to the capital Mogadishu in search of employment, the number of women offering to carry home the purchases of shoppers in markets is on the rise.
Even though carts pushed by men still dominate this kind of business, it is thought that female shoppers are increasingly turning to women to help them carry their goods home as it is seen as a safer alternative.
