Tony Blair: Rwandan genocide was 'preventable'
The Rwandan genocide was "preventable", former Prime Minister Tony Blair has said.
Speaking to BBC Radio 4's Today programme, Mr Blair added that it would be right for the West to "intervene" in similar situations in future.
His comments come as Rwanda begins a week of official mourning to mark the 20th anniversary of the country's genocide.
First broadcast on BBC Radio 4's Today programme on Monday 7 April.
