Pakistanis say US 'should apologise' after 24 killed

The Pentagon has admitted communication mistakes were made by US forces when they fired on a Pakistani military position near the Afghan border last month, killing 24 Pakistani soldiers.

The US-led military inquiry says US troops came under fire from a machine-gun nest on a ridge line.

The report also claims Pakistan's military contributed to the misunderstanding given procedures in place to share information and prevent such incidents.

The BBC took the opinions of two people on the streets of Islamabad.
