Malaysia election turnout 'very impressive'

Polling station across Malaysia have closed for what is expected to be the closest election in the country's history.

For the first time since independence in 1957, the ruling Barisan Nasional Coalition has a real chance of losing power.

Jonathan Head in Kuala Lumpur says turnout was high, driven by a "real hunger" for change.
