Indonesia's Yudhoyono receives 'religious tolerance' award

Indonesian President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono has received an award for religious tolerance from the US-based Appeal of Conscience Foundation, despite criticism from the country's human rights groups.

They say President Yudhoyono has ignored the plight of religious minorities in the world's most populous Muslim nation.

But some Muslim groups say the president is trying to safeguard the country's reputation as a tolerant and secular nation.

Karishma Vaswani reports from Jakarta.
