Afghans call on government to help revive ancient silk industry

Silk weaving is an ancient craft in Afghanistan and Herat - the country's third largest city - is one of its main silk producers.

But years of conflict and economic instability have brought the traditional craft to its knees, threatening the livelihoods of hundreds of silk workers.

They are calling on the government to do more to help revive the industry.

Roja Assadi reports.
