Tiananmen: Security still tight in Beijing, 25 years on

Tens of thousands of people in Hong Kong have been marking the 25th anniversary of the Tiananmen Square massacre, in which hundreds of people died.

In Beijing, though, security has been tight to prevent any commemorations.

China has never released a death toll for the crackdown - but at least several hundred people died when troops cleared the square, after weeks of protests about political reform.
