Pro-democracy walkouts over Hong Kong electoral reforms

Lawmakers have walked out of Hong Kong's legislative council in protest at proposed reforms for the next elections in the territory.

The changes would see candidates for the 2017 election screened before elections, acceding to the wishes of the Chinese government.

However pro-democracy legislators have promised to veto the reforms.
