'My mother was never seen again'

Vietnam is commemorating the 40th anniversary of the end of the Vietnam War.

On 30 April 1975 the capital of South Vietnam, Saigon (now Ho Chi Minh City), was captured by communist troops from the North.

During the conflict, millions of Vietnamese on both sides of the conflict died. North Vietnam's first female war correspondent was among them, killed during a guerrilla operation in central Vietnam.

But four decades later, her family is still trying to find out what happened to her - her daughter, Huong Ly, now a journalist with the BBC, shares her story.
