Singapore at 50: Chef's journey from drugs to dining

Edwin Chua had his first brush with the law in Singapore at the age of 18, when he went to prison for one year on a drug-related offence.

His curiosity about chasing a "high" gave way to a drug addiction which saw him in and out of prison over a 10-year period.

Today, he is working on turning his life around and building a career in the food and beverage industry.

He told the BBC what it's like to have lived the life of a drug addict in Singapore.
