Afghan Taliban claim gains in Helmand province

Sangin, one of the main towns in Helmand province in Afghanistan, is reported to be back in the hands of the Taliban.

The local governor has been airlifted out of the district headquarters, and officials say the militants have taken control of the local government building and police station.

Shaimaa Khalil reports from Kabul.
