Hong Kong New Year's Day pro-democracy protest draws crowds

Thousands of protesters have taken to the streets of Hong Kong, demanding full democracy.

They accuse the government of cracking down on pro-democracy legislators - and say Beijing has interfered in Hong Kong's affairs by interpreting its local laws.
