Is North Korea's poised to name new leader?

North Korea is preparing to hold the first major gathering of its Workers Party in decades, a meeting that some observers believe will signal a shift in power from the leader Kim Jong-il to one of his sons.

Although no official date has been set, some news reports suggest the party gathering could take place some time this week.
