South Korea's borderline Christmas tree

South Korea has warned North Korea not to attack a giant artificial Christmas tree it has lit up near the demilitarized zone between the two countries.

The tree is seen by some as a potential provocation to the atheist North at a time of heightened tensions.

It was unveiled to applause and carol singing.
