Japanese nuclear body urges calm

Japanese authorities have raised the severity rating of their nuclear crisis to the highest level.

The decision was taken because of radiation measured at the damaged Fukushima Daiichi power plant.

But the spokesman for Japan's Nuclear and Industrial Safety Agency, Hidehiko Nishiyama, said there was no cause for undue alarm.
