Russian play based on true story sparks debate
Theatre today in Russia feeds on the rich traditions of famous playwrights of the 19th and early 20th Centuries.
But those in the audience who are looking for sharp, contemporary writing are often disappointed when many theatres opt for Chekhov and Dostoevsky and overlook real-life dramas of modern Russia.
But one theatre is bucking the trend with a play based on a story which shocked Russia's business and legal world in November 2009.
