Russian ice hockey team Lokomotiv devastated in crash

The world of ice hockey was plunged into mourning on Wednesday when a Russian plane carrying one of the county's top teams crashed killing all but two of the passengers and crew.

The Yak-42 plane plummeted into a river shortly after taking flight from city of Yaroslavl.

On board was the Lokomotiv ice hockey team on its way to the opening game of the season in Minsk.
