Spanish court to decide on trial of prominent judge

The supreme court in Spain is due to decide later on Tuesday whether to proceed with the prosecution of the country's most prominent judge for abuse of power.

Baltasar Garzon is accused of having violated an amnesty law passed in 1977 which bans anyone from investigating alleged crimes committed under the former dictatorship of General Franco.

From Madrid Tom Burridge reports.
