Mass orange fight in Italian town

Locals in the Italian town of Ivrea have been taking part in an unusually colourful carnival ritual - a mass gathering where participants throw oranges at each other.

The Battle of the Orange is a local tradition and each year fruit is shipped in from Sicily to provide enough ammunition for the event.
