Dutch Prince Johan Friso 'may not regain consciousness'

Doctors treating Dutch Prince Johan Friso say he suffered massive brain damage and may never regain consciousness, after being caught in an avalanche last week.

Dr Wolfgang Koller said it would take months, even years, of therapy for Prince Friso to recover if he did wake up.

Queen Beatrix's middle son was skiing off-piste near Lech in the Austrian Alps when the accident happened.

Anna Holligan reports from The Hague.
