Italian nuclear official wounded in shooting

The head of an Italian nuclear energy company has been shot in the leg while leaving his home in the northern Italian city of Genoa.

Roberto Adinolfi, a nuclear engineer as well as the head of Ansaldo Nuclear, is not said to be in a serious condition.

No one has claimed responsibility for the shooting but investigators quoted in media reports suggest anarchists may have been behind it.

Alan Johnston reports from Rome.
