Russian activists take 'silent walk' through Moscow streets

Thousands of people gathered in Pushkin Square and marched through central Moscow on Sunday afternoon as part of a 'silent protest' against a ban on unsanctioned rallies.

The action was organised by popular Russian writers who wanted to find out if Moscow citizens were free to walk about in their own city without fear of being arrested.

Aziz Nuritoff reports.
