Calls for 'immediate plan' to solve eurozone crisis

The crisis in the eurozone appears to be deepening, German banks have been downgraded and the European Commission wants new rules for the way governments deal with failing banks.

The Prime Minister and President Obama are calling for an "immediate plan" to solve the eurozone crisis.

Downing Street has said that, during a phone call last night, the two leaders said urgent action was needed to "restore market confidence".
