Spanish miners living underground to protest

Miners across Spain are starting to go back to work after a bitterly contested strike lasting more than two months.

They have been protesting against huge cuts in state support for the mining industry, as Spain struggles to escape from economic crisis.

Unions say protests will continue, but their members have run out of money and need to get back to work.

Miners who have been occupying one pit have voted to stay on strike until they get more guarantees of job security.

Our Europe Correspondent Chris Morris has been down the mine in Leon to meet them.
