Renfe boss gives Spain train crash evidence

Senior officials from Spain's railway operators have been questioned by a parliamentary committee following last month's train crash in Santiago de Compostela that killed 79 people.

One of those speaking at the hearing was the president of the train operator Renfe, Julio Gomez Pomar.

He said that all of the company's resources were mobilised "from the moment Renfe was aware of the accident" and that the priority was to "help the victims and their families as quickly as possible".
