German man on living through four eras in German history

Arno Sonntag, a pensioner living in the former East Germany, has lived through four eras in German history.

The pensioner from Chemnitz, 92, served as a German soldier during the war and fought in Russia where he lost a leg.

Under communist rule, he worked in a foundry.

Here, Mr Sonntag speaks to the BBC about his austere life.
