Crimea student: 'I woke up in a new country today'

Crimean officials say that, in a referendum held in the predominantly ethnic-Russian region on Sunday, 97% of voters backed splitting from Ukraine.

The EU and US have declared the vote illegal.

Leonid, 21, is a graphic design student in Yalta, Crimea. He told the BBC's Patrick Jackson he was unsure whether graduating with a Russian degree would be better for his future career than graduating with a Ukrainian one.
