Why is King Juan Carlos of Spain abdicating? In 60 secs

King Juan Carlos of Spain is abdicating after nearly 40 years on the throne.

And support for him waned when it was discovered he took a lavish elephant hunting trip to Botswana in April 2012, in the middle of Spain's financial crisis.

BBC News gives a quick explanation for the abdication - in 60 seconds.
