Husband of Spain Ebola nurse in dog appeal
An online campaign is calling for the dog of a Spanish nurse with Ebola not to be put down.
The woman, identified in media reports as Teresa Romero Ramos, had treated two Spanish missionaries who died of Ebola after being repatriated.
Spanish authorities say her pet, called Excalibur, will be killed because "available scientific information" cannot rule out it spreading the virus but campaigners say there is no evidence that Ebola has been spread by dogs.
Teresa Romero's husband, Javier Limon Romero, recorded a video message appealing for help to rescue Excalibur.
