How is EU food import ban affecting Russians?
Parmesan cheese, Serrano ham, sushi - they were becoming normal fare for middle class Russians until President Putin banned fresh food from the EU and elsewhere.
The sanctions are retaliation for economic penalties imposed on Russia by the West, over the Kremlin's alleged support of rebel fighters in Ukraine.
But while Russians are having to do without certain delicacies, the bans are feeding a new wave of patriotism.
