French PM: 'We face an unprecedented terrorist threat'

The French Prime Minister Manuel Valls has described the attack on Charlie Hebdo's office as "an abominable attack" and "an act of barbarity".

Twelve people were murdered, including two police officers on Wednesday when gunmen attacked the office of the satirical magazine.

Mr Valls said France was facing an unprecedented terrorist threat but they were taking action through the police, intelligence and justice systems.

Security services are searching for two bothers named as the chief suspects, they are said to be "armed and dangerous".
