Charlie Hebdo massacre: France falls silent for victims

A minute's silence has been held for the 12 people killed at the Paris office of satirical magazine Charlie Hebdo.

The silence, which started at midday in France (11:00 GMT), was also observed across the world.

In parts of Paris it was followed by spontaneous applause.
