Migrant crisis: Thousands rescued from Mediterranean sea

The Italian coastguard says it has rescued nearly 6,000 people from boats off the Mediterranean coast. However, at least ten bodies were recovered from the water.

Officials say people smugglers are taking advantage of mild weather and calm seas to send more boats into the Mediterranean.
