Kerry and Lavrov: 'We have to cooperate'

The US Secretary of State, John Kerry, says he has held frank discussions about Ukraine and other issues with Russia's president, Vladimir Putin, at the Black Sea resort of Sochi.

Mr Kerry also met the Russian foreign minister, Sergei Lavrov.

At a joint news conference after their meeting, both Mr Kerry and Mr Lavrov said the US and Russia needed to cooperate and could not let the relationship deteriorate.
