Turkey elections: Liberal Izmir opposed to further AK party rule

The governing Turkish AK party is pushing for a fourth term in office in the face of criticism from opponents that it is trying it to stifle dissent.

What makes Turkey unique is that it straddles the border between Europe and Western Asia. Ahead of the parliamentary elections, The BBC is travelling across the country, to gather a range of views of the election.

The first stop is Izmir - in the west. It is an opposition stronghold where the centre-left CHP has strong support.
