Having a whale of a time in the Irish Sea

Christopher McFerran took this video of a whale powering its way through the Irish Sea near Portavogie.

The huge mammal is a Minke whale, the most common whale in Irish waters.

It is a UK priority species. Minke whales can be up to 10m long.
