UN fire tear gas as thousands protest in Haiti

Thousands of people have taken to the streets of Port-au-Prince, accusing the ruling party of rigging the vote in favour of its candidate, Jude Celestin.

UN troops fired tear gas to repel protesters intent on attacking the nation's electoral council headquarters as they hurled stones and wrecked property.
