Mexico drug gang death toll mounts

The authorities in Mexico believe a drug gang, formed by deserters from special forces, is behind the worst massacres in the country's four year drugs war.

Another 28 bodies lying in mass graves have been uncovered in the northern Mexican state of Tamaulipas, bringing the total found in the past week to 116.

Police have arrested 17 suspects from the Zetas drug cartel which the authorities blame for the killings.

Julian Miglierini reports from Mexico City.
