Ukraine's Yulia Tymoshenko in hunger strike vow

The imprisoned former Ukrainian Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko is refusing to give up a hunger strike, according to her daughter.

The protest began last Friday after Ms Tymoshenko said she was beaten up by prison guards. The accusation is denied by the Ukrainian authorities.

Ms Tymoshenko is serving a seven-year prison term for abuse of office, charges widely condemned as politically motivated.

The BBC's Jonathan Josephs reports.
