Memories of Brazilian military rule

Brazil's Truth Commission was created to investigate human rights abuses, including those committed during the 1964-1985 military dictatorship.

President Dilma Rousseff is to inaugurate the commission on Wednesday, a moment Ivo Herzog has long been waiting for.

In 1975 he was 10 years old when his father, Vladimir, "disappeared". At the time, his father was the director of public television in Sao Paulo. Ivo told the BBC World Service what happened :
