Peru percussionists aim for cajon-playing record

Thousands of people in Peru have attempted to break the Guinness World Record for the largest cajon ensemble.

The cajon is a wooden box with a sound hole on one side which is played by slapping the front face with the hands.

Officials are now looking at photos and videos of the event in Lima to check that everyone was in the same place and playing the Peruvian percussion instrument.
