Radical cleric 'returns to Iraq after years in Iran'

The anti-US Shia cleric Moqtada Sadr is back in Iraq after years of self-imposed exile, according to officials.

He has returned to his stronghold of Najaf, south of Baghdad, after several years reportedly in Iran.

The Mehdi Army, the militia that he founded, clashed several times with US and Iraqi forces after the 2003 US-led invasion.

This footage was distributed by Moqtada Sadr's office.
